These General Terms and Conditions of Sale exclusively govern the purchase and sale carried out on the Matias Belo online store, between the Final Consumer, as the buyer, and Matias Belo, as the seller, and apply to all visitors of the website www.matiasbelo.pt, as well as to any commercial transaction made through this online store.

Browsing the website, as well as purchasing any product on www.matiasbelo.pt, implies acceptance of these general terms of use and contracting.

A Final Consumer, User, or Buyer is considered to be any individual who acts/purchases for personal purposes only, outside the scope of their business or profession, and therefore without the intention of reselling the items acquired from the online store www.matiasbelo.pt.

Matias Belo reserves the right to modify these terms of use and contracting without prior notice, as well as to update at any time the information and commercial offer presented, including products, prices, promotions, commercial conditions, and services. Any changes will always be published on www.matiasbelo.pt.

Matias Belo reserves the right not to process any order received from users who are not Final Consumers or from orders that do not comply with these general terms of sale.

The Final Consumer must provide Matias Belo, as the seller, with a correct and complete email or postal address, or other contact details, and accepts that Matias Belo may use this information to contact them whenever deemed necessary.

The website www.matiasbelo.pt is intended for private use only, and therefore the reproduction, transfer, distribution, or storage of the contents of the Matias Belo online store, without prior written authorization, is prohibited for any purpose other than strictly personal use.

The insertion of links to our website for commercial purposes or without prior authorization from Matias Belo is expressly prohibited. Likewise, any improper use of the domain www.matiasbelo.ptmay result in legal action taken by Matias Belo.

In the event that you find links providing access to www.matiasbelo.pt on other websites or references to the Matias Belo online store, please note that we are not responsible for such links, pages, or their content.

If the information presented does not correspond to the characteristics of the product, the Customer has the right to terminate the purchase and sale contract under the applicable legal terms.

Product prices and specifications are subject to change without prior notice. Despite Matias Belo’s careful efforts to keep all information up to date, some products may contain incorrect pricing. For this reason, prices are always verified during order processing. If the product price is lower than the advertised price, we will refund the difference. If the price is higher, we will inform the Final Consumer by email and await their decision to accept the new proposal or cancel the order.

Validation of a purchase request or order implies that the Buyer is aware of and accepts the General Terms and Conditions of Sale of the website www.matiasbelo.pt.

All data recorded by Matias Belo constitute proof of the set of transactions carried out between the Seller and the Final Consumer. Matias Belo is responsible for storing the electronic document that formalizes the contract and for ensuring that it remains accessible.

Any visitor to the website www.matiasbelo.pt is required to comply with and respect these general conditions, namely by observing the following obligations:

  • It is prohibited to introduce, store, or disseminate through the website any defamatory, obscene, offensive, xenophobic, and/or any other type of content that violates general legal principles and public order;
  • To keep and not disclose their login password in order to prevent third parties from accessing their account and personal data;
  • Not to use false identities;
  • To provide accurate personal data and addresses so that Matias Belo can properly process orders;

To place an order on www.matiasbelo.pt, the User must have a valid and frequently used email account and must register as a Matias Belo customer by completing the online form. Once registered, simply add to the virtual shopping cart all the products the Final Consumer wishes to purchase, following all the steps of the buying process until the order is successfully completed.

Placing an order is very easy:

  • Browse through the online store pages and find the product(s) you wish to purchase.
  • Add the desired products to the Shopping Cart using the Add to cart button.
  • When you feel you have selected all the items you want to buy, proceed to checkout by clicking Checkout.
  • Next, fill in your personal data in a very simple form (pay close attention when entering your address).
  • Then, select the payment method.
  • Review your order.
  • Proceed with the payment, confirming the order.
  • Finally, you will receive an order confirmation via email.
  • By clicking the Logout button at the end of the purchase process, your order is confirmed and you only need to wait the estimated delivery time for postal shipping.

Matias Belo only processes an order after the corresponding payment has been confirmed, and therefore cannot guarantee the availability of the items until the processing has begun.

In the order confirmation, you will find the estimated shipping date for the products, following payment confirmation. Naturally, the estimated shipping time may vary depending on the carrier and the destination of your order.

Matias Belo dispatches orders only on business days. Therefore, weekends and public holidays are not counted when estimating delivery times. Any delay in the dispatch of items, relative to the estimated dates provided, does not grant the right to compensation.

The fulfillment of all orders placed on the website is subject to product availability. We strive to ensure that all items offered for sale are in stock. However, we reserve the right not to accept any orders or to cancel confirmed orders for products that are no longer in stock. In the event of product unavailability and/or stock shortage, Matias Belo will immediately inform the Final Consumer of the partial or total cancellation of their order, and the buyer will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid.

The Final Consumer is solely responsible for the accuracy of the personal data provided and undertakes to enter and immediately update any changes through their registration account on www.matiasbelo.pt.

Matias Belo is exempt from any liability for delays or the inability to process an order resulting from errors or insufficient data provided by the Final Consumer, particularly at the time of delivery.

Matias Belo may choose not to validate an order that does not offer sufficient guarantees of good payment, when the order is incomplete or incorrect, or when the ordered products are no longer available. In any of these cases, Matias Belo will inform the Final Consumer by email that the sales contract has not been completed and that the sale has not been processed, specifying the reasons for this decision.

If the products ordered on www.matiasbelo.pt are no longer available at the time of your last access to the website, despite having received an order confirmation, or when Matias Belo receives your request, the Seller will immediately inform the User about their unavailability, never exceeding a period of 30 days after receiving the request.

If an order and respective payment have been made for products that have become unavailable in the meantime, we will proceed with a refund of the amount paid for the unavailable items.

Matias Belo reserves the right to refuse any order, regardless of the reason and without liability for any damages or costs, and also reserves the right to cancel any purchase even if it has already been accepted or confirmed by Matias Belo, particularly in the following situations:

  • The information on the invoice is incorrect or unverifiable;
  • The order is flagged by the website’s Security Systems as incorrect, irregular, or likely to be fraudulent;
  • When the payment transfer for the order is not received within 2 business days following the acceptance of the order;
  • When it is not possible to deliver the order to the address provided by the User;
  • If it is considered that the Buyer did not have the capacity to perform the act;
  • If an error is detected in the price display of the product(s);
  • If it is presumed that the order originates from a reseller.

The available payment methods will be presented on our website. We do not accept any payment method other than those listed.

You may pay for your products using Bank Transfer, Credit Card (Visa), or MB Way.

If the Final Consumer chooses payment by Bank Transfer, we will only begin processing the order after the payment has been received. Therefore, with this payment method, we recommend that you make the transfer as soon as possible so that you can receive your order promptly. If 2 calendar days pass after the order is placed and no payment has been received, the order will be cancelled.

The purchase price of the products and the transportation costs, as indicated in the order form, will be charged to your account when the purchased products are actually dispatched.

We strongly advise you not to attempt payment by any method not specified on www.matiasbelo.pt. If you do so, Matias Belo cannot be held responsible for the loss of payment or any other damages that may result.

The Matias Belo online store uses the latest and most robust security technologies available for encryption platforms. All payment information you provide will be encrypted from the moment the transaction begins until the order is processed, and will not be stored on any public server.

Despite our use of advanced encryption software, any payment transmitted via the Internet or email carries certain risks, particularly when the User does not take the necessary precautions or fails to follow responsible practices.

Matias Belo cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of electronic means of communication, including damages arising from failures or delays in the delivery of electronic communications, interceptions or manipulations of electronic communications by third parties, or computer programs used for communications or the transmission of viruses.

Matias Belo retains ownership of the company’s products until full payment for all such products has been received.

The prices of the products displayed on the website www.matiasbelo.pt include Value Added Tax (VAT).

The total price shown in the final checkout menu includes taxes and shipping costs. Prices are quoted at the time the order is confirmed, and this confirmation can be printed or downloaded for future reference. Please transfer only the exact amount specified in the order confirmation, and make separate transfers for each order.

Shipping fees are calculated per order, and the exact shipping cost will depend on the country where your order will be delivered.
All prices are listed in Euros, and any change in the delivery country may affect the prices due to transportation costs.

Products ordered from the online store will be shipped and delivered on business days, from Monday to Friday.

We can only guarantee the proper delivery of an order if the delivery address provided by the User is correctly indicated and corresponds to a home or office located in one of the countries listed in the Deliver To menu.

A delivery is considered completed, or a product is considered delivered, once the delivery receipt has been signed at the agreed address.

The shipping costs associated with your order will be charged per order, meaning that if you order more than one item, you will pay the shipping costs only once. However, Matias Belo reserves the right to split the delivery of the order, for example, if part of the order is delayed or unavailable. In the event that the order is split, the customer will be notified of this intention by email, using the email address provided at the time of purchase.

Orders shipped to countries outside the European Union or to countries with customs and tax policies different from those generally applied within the European Union may be subject to taxes, customs duties, and fees charged in the destination country (Import Fees). The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to Import Fees upon arrival in their country. The recipient may also bear additional customs clearance charges. Matias Belo has no control over these charges and cannot provide an estimate. Customs policies vary significantly from country to country, and the customer should contact their local customs office for further information. When customs procedures are required, delivery may be delayed beyond the estimated shipping timeframe.

At the time of delivery, the Buyer must inspect the packaging and the delivered products to check for any damage. If the Buyer finds that the products are damaged, they must not accept the delivery, and the order should be returned immediately using the Return mechanism. Matias Belo will refund the amounts paid for the order and shipping as soon as the returned order is received and the return process is completed at its headquarters.

The order is considered accepted if, after receiving the order, the Buyer does not return it within the following 15 days.

Once your order has been registered, payment confirmed, and all items in your order are available, Matias Belo undertakes to ship your order within the following delivery times:

  • In mainland Portugal, within a maximum of 2 working days.
  • In the Madeira and Azores archipelagos and in Spain, between 2 and 4 working days.
  • In the European Union (except Portugal and Spain), approximately 2 to 4 working days.
  • In all countries outside the European Union, we will deliver your order within an indicative period of 6 to 10 working days.

Matias Belo shall not be liable for any failure or delay in the performance of any delivery obligation caused by a force majeure event, i.e. an event, act or omission beyond its reasonable control.

Before shipment, the Buyer may cancel the order for products. If the User places an order and wishes to cancel it, they must first check the status of the order via the Account menu, located in the upper right corner of the main page of the website www.matiasbelo.pt, then click on Orders. If the order status says ‘Awaiting payment confirmation,’ then it is still possible to cancel it. To do so, the User must contact our Customer Service and request the cancellation of their order.

If the cancellation request is successful, the customer will be notified by email of this decision and the cancellation will be processed at no cost to the customer.

If the cancellation request is not possible because the order has already been shipped, the products will be sent to the Buyer who, if they still wish to cancel the order, must refuse to accept delivery and activate the return mechanisms in the online store.

Upon confirmation of the return and receipt of the order at Matias Belo, the respective refund will be processed.

All texts, comments, works, illustrations, creations, and images reproduced or displayed on the website www.matiasbelo.pt are strictly protected under copyright law and intellectual property rights worldwide.

Accordingly, and under the terms of the Intellectual Property Code, the use of such information is authorized solely for private purposes, subject to any contrary provisions, including more restrictive provisions contained in that code.

Any total or partial reproduction or representation of the website www.matiasbelo.pt, in whole or in part, or of any elements contained therein, is strictly prohibited.

Company names, trademarks, and distinctive signs reproduced on the website www.matiasbelo.ptare protected under the legal provisions applicable to industrial property. The reproduction or representation, in whole or in part, of any distinctive signs is strictly prohibited and must be subject to prior written authorization from the trademark holder.
